Speech Development

Different kids have different levels or pace of development. I remembered Raelynne started talking quite early, somewhere turning 2 years old. As for Raelan, his vocabulary is still quite limited, but he is getting there. He will be turning 2 years old in April. But if you are worried about your child’s speech development, there is a speech and language assessment site that you can use to assess your child. The assessment can be done for kids from three months to five years old. After the necessary assessment is done, you can get fun activities to enable you to provide the targeted therapy required at the comfort of your home.

If the assessment shows any difficulties with your child, the site will provide information to make it happen. It is not free, but at affordable rate of 19.95 pounds. You can head on to http://www.speechquest.net for more info and until 31st March 2010, you can get a 20% discount by entering the following code BVT1015 when you register a child. There are a couple of videos on YouTube that you can watch on how to use the site as well such as How to Assess a Child and How to Create a User Account.
